Old Ballantruan is a single malt distilled at the Tomintoul Distillery in Speyside. Unusually for the region, this is a heavily-peated whisky. Ballantruan is the name of the water source the distillery utilizes. The Ballantruan Whisky Company was founded in 2005 by the Hillman family, owners of Angus Dundee Distillers.
