Placed among the flagship producers of Tuscany, the winery is named after the Avignonesi family, the founders of the original estate. Acquired in 2009 by Virginie Saverys, the winery`s philosophy lies on constant research and development, based on respect to the heritage of the Montepulciano and aimed at expressing the true character of the region, where Sangiovese wines have been produced for centuries with the wish to contribute to its future by being the finest representative of its heritage. In that spirit, in 2011 Avignonesi started its conversion to organic farming.
