The Torrigiani family becomes part of "the world of wine" in 1280 when their ancestor Ciardo Torrigiani opens a thriving business in Florence, Tuscany that later on develops successfully in Italy and in all of the Europe.
The Torrigiani estate is located close to Barberino Val d'Elsa and covers an area of 400 ha among the sloping hills of which 30 ha are vineyards kept according to modern technique.
