In 1979, Peter Lehmann founded the winery based on his bravery, loyalty and commitment to Barossa and his desire to ‘do the right thing’ by protecting his mates - the independent grape growers of the Barossa.

From the beginning, Peter Lehmann recognised the heroes of the Barossa were not just the winemakers, but also the grape growers pickers, viticulturists and the whole Barossa community. No one knows each corner, each ridge and each vineyard of the Barossa as they do.
