Five generation of wine-growers with passion for wine and their own land, built year after year the history of the winery, today as yesterday is located in the southern province of Brindisi, in the small town of San Donaci, and still bears their name.
The story of this beautiful estate began at the turn of the 19th century, when Antonio Leo starter to vinify the grapes grown on his estate, Masseria Monticello, which included 20 hectares of vineyards.
In the early 1920’s Antonio passed on his passion and business to his grandson Paolo Leo, who inherited the vineyards, built his own winery in the small town of San Donaci. This marks the beginning of feudo Paolo Leo as it is today.
Still today, Paolo Leo, the actual owner, following the footsteps of his father, Nicola Leo, and the great grandfather, run the family business with the support of his wife Roberta, and the eldest sons Nicola and Stefano.
Thanks to consistent and constant investment, today Cantine Paolo Leo it is a modern winery that remain true to the traditions of wine making.
Paolo Leo today is not only synonymous of cultural heritage and tradition, but also a name that represent high quality wines.
A fine wine is a merge between ground, vine, climate and man’s work…if these entities are in synergy, the results can only be excellent. Paolo Leo accept this challenge with passion and devotion.
