Tua Rita is the story of a passion. When in fact in 1984 Virgilio and Rita bought a country farm with a little vineyard, they aimed to have a place to shelter and directly grow some products for themselves. In those years viticulture was emerging in the area of Suvereto and Val di Cornia and in general across the province of Livorno. But that vineyard and the growing love for the world of wine led them to plant the first two hectares and then the later ones until they become what they are today. A passion grown up day by day, starting as a "vin de garage" and becoming the company known and appreciated all over the world with 47 hectares. Since the first vintage and the first wine produced (the Giusto di Notri in 1992) the meticulous management of the vineyard and production are constantly kept the same. The estate’s name derives from the inversion of Rita Tua’s first and last name.
