This wine was called "Le Stanze" ("The Rooms") in poetic reference to two books written by Angelo Poliziano in the Florentine Renaissance and devoted to love, beauty and idyllic scenes. This is precisely what Federico Carletti has tried to shine through the wine. Deep ruby, almost black colour. Medium developing nose of black forest fruits, leather, cedar, dried herbs and spice all framed in oak. Flavours of black currents, dark cherries, vanilla, black pepper, mineral. Good balance of fruits-acidity-tannins-alcohol, the tannins providing the sound structure. Great focussed length, a very good wine.
