This beautiful, refined wine is purple red in color, with a violet hue. Aromatic notes of wild herbs, macerated cherries, and black licorice are revealed, followed by subtle notes of milk chocolate and black pepper. The smooth and vibrant palate feel exudes notes of pomegranate, mulberry, boysenberry, and blackberry with over tones of tobacco. The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering nuances of carob, juniper, and dried figs against a backdrop of elegant, compact tannins. A vibrant acidity brings sublime balance to this wine, an outstanding expression of Nero d’Avola, one of Sicily’s signature grape varieties.
