The color of this wine is almost an impenetrable inky purple, and it exudes aromas reminiscent of rich cassis and licorice tones. The palate shows true syrah form, with smooth undulating waves of smoky black currant, plum, boysenberry and precise varietal character. The cassis and spice evidenced on the nose combine seamlessly on the palate and lead into a generous, long finish. The well-rounded tannins are interwoven with a fine thread of acidity and provide the necessary structure for the background aromas of cassis, tar, and tobacco to rise up on the finish.

Powerfull and enigmatic, this wine is designed for long aging.
