Domaine de la Ferté owns vines which were run by the monks of the Abbey of Citeaux from 1170, developing very fast their possessions and vineyards in Givry. It is a well-known place of spirituality in Burgundy which has always created vocation for religious carriers in Europe and also all over the world (Cluny, Citeaux and Taizé). Today, the vineyards are run in a reasoned wine-growing way. The medium age of the vineyards is 35 years old.
