Since 2005, the year of Dourthe’s inaugural vintage, Château Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac has harnessed the best of nature, man and machine to take its place among the elite of Saint-Émilion Grand Cru wines. Cultivated on just 15Ha of vines divided into 16 individual plots, the wine stands apart more for its elegance and finesse, than its robust structure. Ruby-red in appearance, the wine’s pure aromatics are underscored by delicate tannins and meticulous ageing. Notes of violet, which are typical of the Cabernet Franc present in the blend, bring a touch of originality to this full-flavoured, balanced wine.
