Borie-Manoux is one of the biggest family-owned French wineries and also wine merchant groups with a strong position on both, the home and the internatational market. The company was initially founded as Borie Frères by Pierre Borie in Pauillac in 1870 until the late 1940s when the two brothers separate their ways and the headquater is moved to Bordeaux and renamed to Borie Manoux. Today, there are ten chateaux in five different appellations with an export to about 90 countries all over the world. During the twentieth century, Borie-Manoux acquires a number of Négociants, wine merchant houses in Bordeaux and later on also in Loire. Since 2000 Borie-Manoux is a private limited company.
