Vignoble Gitton, established in 1945 by Marcel and Huguette Gitton, has grown from half a hectare to 33 hectares of carefully selected vineyards across prime terroirs. With a rich tradition and a focus on terroir, this family-run estate has been producing and aging their wines exclusively on-site for over 40 years, exporting them to more than 30 countries. Now managed by Pascal and Denise Gitton, assisted by their daughter Chanel, the estate boasts 23 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc and 4 hectares of Pinot Noir in Sancerre and Ménétréol, with additional vineyards in Pouilly Fumé and Côteaux du Giennois. The diverse soils, including limestone, marl, and flint, combined with vineyards averaging 45 years in age, allow for the authentic expression of the region's Sauvignon. Each plot is meticulously respected, resulting in individual cuvées, from the fruity Les Montachins Sancerre in stainless-steel tanks to the gun-flint aromas of Belles Dames in oak barrels, and the cask-aged Galinot and Les Herses on fine lees.
