Cavit begins its story in 1950 and represents a large co-operative comprising many small traditional producers, fully aware of the unique traits of their land and driven by the desire to learn and master the techniques and know-how needed to further develop their production.
Today, Cavit represents 65% of all wine production in Trentino. Both wine and sparkling wine cellars are located in Ravina, just outside Trento, the capital of Trentino. The company’s representative centre is Maso Toresella, an old villa surrounded by vineyards. Founded in the sixteenth century by the Prince Bishops of Trento who used it as a summer residence, it covers a total area of 6.5 hectares on the banks of Lake Toblino and is one of the “masi” (rural estates) with the most history in the whole Trentino.
